When taking photographs of products and experiences for National Sales campaigns, use the tips below to create beautiful custom photographs for client campaigns. 

  • Clear, in-focus & well-lit. For best lighting use natural light, and avoid using the flash.
  • Make sure the product and brand name clearly visible (no competing logos in shot)
  • Neutral or ‘on brand’ background/backdrop.
  • Consider editing – no filters! Images should be adjusted for white balance (not too blue and not yellow), sharpness, and cropping should be considered.
  • Shoot for the platform (ie, WP featured image (also works well on WP) is about 2:3, IG is 1:1, IG stories are more vertical.
  • Simple, well-thought-out images are often the most effective.
  • If using a photographer’s images make sure you have permission and appropriately credit.
  • Make sure images are large enough for WordPress.
